About the Session
About the Session
Abstract:
Every adult working with a school plays a part in how students are inspired, as a result of their experiences on campus. The activities and collaboration of team members constitute an exploratory culture that, done well, also proves personally and professionally meaningful. Together, everyone, both in and out of classrooms, help craft the stories that allow the larger community not simply to understand a school's strengths, but also its potential to support the growth of its children. How these adults work together to overcome common barriers, tap freely into the available tools, and draw upon the strengths of the students themselves to shape and share these stories is a focus easily lost amidst the day-to-day demands of keeping a school functioning. However, when the culture welcomes both conventional and novel ideas for its activities and communications, the school can fulfill its promise as a place of inspiration for everyone.
