Abstract: This workshop will give attendees the chance to look at factors which can affect student experience in learning communities. The literature and discussion is based on current research and forms the basis of a Master’s in Education dissertation. Attendees will discuss the survey used as part of the dissertation and reflect on which factors they feel affect their own students most and how this impacts their own practice. These factors include use of technology, pedagogy, environment and student-centred learning. Attendees will also reflect on how different levels of attainment affect these factors. The workshop will be interactive and breakout rooms will involve the use of leading questions and prompts in order to fuel discussion.
