Abstract: During the workshop, participants will engage in a series of activities that will help them understand the significance of coding in an AI-driven world. They will start by demystifying AI's role in our lives and its growing influence on the job market. They will then explore how coding is a universal language across all disciplines, fostering logical thinking and creativity while enhancing students' abilities in all subjects. Participants will also delve into how coding cultivates problem-solving and computational thinking, essential skills for navigating an AI-centric future.

The workshop will also briefly touch on the ethical implications of AI and the importance of teaching responsible AI use and development. Participants will then dive into an interactive coding activity using AI-powered tools, experiencing firsthand how code generators can assist in creating simple projects, such as a basic chatbot or a data analysis script.

Finally, participants will receive a curated list of resources and platforms that make coding approachable for educators and students alike, with or without AI assistance. They will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss how to integrate these insights into their teaching practices. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand that coding is an invaluable skill that enriches learning across all subjects, and that AI platforms can assist but not replace the fundamental understanding of code. They will be equipped to facilitate an environment that prepares students for future AI-related challenges and opportunities.
