Practical approaches to integrating STEAM into learning experiences. I’m convinced that using STEAM is not daunting and even becomes habitual once you’re used to it. Every subject area is different, but identifying the key crossover areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math to your subject will allow natural integration of STEAM into lesson planning. Artificial intelligence only makes this easier. AI should be the first key strategy for idea generation and identifying cross over areas.
Content share. The presentation includes 10 different STEAM units in design and technology focused on various age levels, with numerous examples of student work. The projects can be taken as is, adapted to other subject areas, or built upon for different learning experiences. Numerous units rely on artificial intelligence for sketching, brainstorming, gathering important data, and understanding user experience.
STEAM and metacognition. Does STEAM make our students better people in general? I think it does and I’ll share specific areas of growth we should look for in students who have more STEAM units at school.
