Workshop Goals:
The workshop: Effective AI Tools in Science: Personalized Learning and Virtual Labs explores the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing science education through personalized learning experiences and virtual laboratory environments. This workshop aims to equip educators and researchers with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in leveraging AI tools to create engaging, adaptive, and efficient learning pathways for students. Participants will engage in a series of interactive activities demonstrating AI's power in tailoring educational content to individual needs and simulating real-world scientific experiments in a virtual setting.
Session Content:
I) Overview of AI Applications Kimi and Labster
Focusing on its role in science teaching.
II) Virtual Labs and Simulations
AI-powered platforms: Labster and PhET Interactive Simulations for immersive experimental experiences.
Conduct virtual experiments and receive real-time feedback from AI assistants
Explore data analysis and interpretation using AI algorithms.
Discuss collaboration and communication tools in virtual labs.
Hands-on Experience with AI Tools
III) Using AI for Personalized Learning
Understanding Personalized Learning with AI tool: Kimi (and Magic School)
Participants will use AI-driven platforms to create personalized learning paths.
Engage in activities that stimulate student data analysis and feedback.
Show how personalized learning can improve student engagement and performance with AI Tools.
IV) Activities:
1) Exploring Virtual Labs
Participants will experience virtual lab environments powered by AI.
