Abstract:  In accordance with the new CPDD curriculum standards, YCIS Shanghai Puxi Primary teachers continue to promote the integration of Chinese Studies with other subjects in a bilingual learning community, using the "overarching concepts" as a framework. In this workshop, we will present an overview of YCIS Shanghai Puxi Primary Section's China Studies curriculum, focusing on the Year 1 units and sharing examples of interdisciplinary teaching in Year 3 and Year 6. We hope to throw light on the diversity of humanities teaching and learning in a bilingual learning community.
