About the Workshop:

The workshop will explore what meaningful challenge look and feel like for students. Then I will present my ‘Challenge Task Card’ system (e.g., ‘The Explainer’, ‘The Quiz Master’) as a sustainable differentiation tool. Following this, there will be a hands-on Task: In pairs, teachers will adapt or create a challenge card for an upcoming lesson. We will sharing how this complements other strategies like guided choice and targeted Group Jams (IXL) to personalise the level of challenges. An outcome will be that attendees will all be able to identify one strategy to integrate low-prep, high-impact challenge routines into their lessons. Also they will hopefully understand how to use student voice and interest to increase engagement with challenging material.
