Abstract: Members of the Y7 and Y8 Lower Secondary Learning Community at YCISPX will walk you through the evolution of the new Learning Communities at YCIS Puxi Secondary. Presenters will share how the Learning Community was strategically formed, how bilingualism is at the heart of the Community and how integrated PBL is the vehicle that drives student engagement. We will also share the details of two new and exciting interdisciplinary projects. If you are wondering how to start your Learning Communities at the Secondary level, how to integrate multilingual instruction into your PBL or how all subjects, like Mathematics, can align with this new model, our presentation should be a good fit for you.
