Abstract: This presentation, through providing a general overview of the development and reforms in the quality assessment tools of Chinese early childhood education since the 1980s, outlines the up-to-date development of early childhood education research and practices in China, as well as demonstrates the research findings conducted by Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education and the teaching practices of Yew Chung and Yew Wah kindergartens. Our research and practices not only fully align with the requirements specified in the national early childhood education quality assessment reform, but also embody the essence of the current international research and practices. Based on the Chinese national policies, international education development and the results of our own research and practices, we are actively exploring a way which can translate our early childhood education conceptual frameworks into actual practice.

In 1985, Professor Shi completed her undergraduate studies in pre-school education at Nanjing Normal University. In the same year, she joined the Jiangsu Academy of Education as Assistant Researcher. Over the years, she has held various significant roles, including her tenure at the Shenzhen Kindergarten in 1993 and her subsequent appointment as Associate Professor at the Shenzhen Institute of Education in 1997.
Since 2005, she has been a dedicated member of the Early Childhood Education Section at the Yew Wah ECE Research Division and as a visiting professor at the Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) in Hong Kong. Before 2005, Professor Shi's commitment extended beyond her teaching roles and has served as a director for both the Jiangsu Province and Shenzhen Early Childhood Education Associations. Additionally, she has been active in different areas of education, serving as Educational Inspectorate and a member of the expert group for kindergarten teacher training in Shenzhen as well as a columnist for the Shenzhen Special Education Magazine. Professor Shi's significant contributions to the field of early childhood education are underscored by her involvement in numerous research projects at the national, provincial, and municipal levels. Her wealth of experience and profound theoretical insights make her a distinguished authority in the domains of kindergarten education quality assessment, kindergarten curriculum development, and early childhood literacy education.

摘要:本报告将通过简要回顾上世纪八十年代以来,中国有关幼儿园教育质量评估的发展与变革,简述当今中国幼儿园教育质量评估研究与实践现状;展示耀中幼教学院的相关研究成果,以及耀中耀华幼儿园的相关实践。从中可以看到,我们的研究与实践,既响应了国家有关幼儿园教育质量评估变革的要求,也融通了当今国际有关幼儿园教育质量评估的研究与实践。从相关的国家政策、国际趋势到我们的研究与实践,我们在努力探索着一条从观念层面落实到幼儿园实践中的路径。

时萍教授于 1985年毕业于南京师范大学学前教育系,同年于江苏省教科院担任助理研究员。多年来,她肩负不同重要岗位,分别于1993年任职深圳幼儿园,1997年任职深圳教育学院副教授。
自2005年始,时教授一直担任耀华幼教研究部的幼教组成员,以及香港耀中幼教学院之访问教授。在教学以外,于2005年之前,时教授还兼任江苏省及深圳市幼教学会理事,深圳市教育督学,深圳市在职幼师培训专家组成员,以及深圳特区教育杂志专栏作者。她曾参与国家、省、市级多项课题研究。在幼儿园教育质量评估、幼儿园课程建构与实施、幼儿读写教育等领域有丰富理论洞见与实践经验。
