Abstract: Classrooms in YCYW are filled with students who have various needs. For instance, we have students who come from different educational and cultural backgrounds; we have students who have different attention spans and interests; we have students who have different language abilities. How do we as teachers show students that we care about  their individual differences in learning communities? And what pedagogical theories do we use as a basis when differentiating for our students? In my presentation, I will use case-based discussion not only to share my experiences and understanding of differentiating for students’   individual needs, but also to help the audience develop a deeper understanding of related pedagogical theories.
