Abstract: Developing a strong and engaged learning community requires sustained commitment and intentionality in working towards a shared vision. Throughout the last Semester, we have focused our efforts on mobilising teacher capacity as leaders. We recognise the integral role our co-teaching partners play in delivering on the commitments and intentions we share in meeting the differing needs of our children and families. Cognisant of the potential for teacher leadership in different areas, we focused on harnessing pedagogical strengths and taking collective responsibility for capacity building in teaching and learning throughout the Semester. To facilitate teacher empowerment and transformational change, the ECE Leadership Team developed safe spaces for participation, reflection, and engagement where respectful, critical early years pedagogical practices took place. We have found that these opportunities presented unique moments to connect, collaborate, share, and reflect on our understandings of the emergent curriculum and Yew Chung Values. Interrogating our knowledge and understandings and making new meaning of the emergent curriculum are ongoing processes. The Pudong Campus ECE leadership team warmly invites you to attend a workshop relating to examples of our best practice in leading our co-teaching partners through the implementation of the Yew Chung approach and the 12 Values. This workshop will highlight the approaches and methodologies we used for embedding the Yew Chung Values, drawing on specific examples across the year levels. This workshop will unpack how we utilised the Yew Chung documentation as instruments to guide and tailor our ECE praxis which in turn, nurtured our professional integrity and our learning community, as we move ever closer to meeting our shared vision.

摘要:要发展一个强大、参与性高的学习共同体,需要成员对其共同愿景抱持坚定的信念。上个学期,我们重点培育教师成为领导者。照顾我们学生和他们家庭的需要是我们的责任和承诺,在此目标上,我们的教师扮演着重要的角色。基于我们对教师领导潜力的了解,我们尽力帮助教师发挥其所长,以及培育他们的教学能力。为了培育教师和促进他们的成长,领导团队创造了一个安适的空间,让他们专心教学和反思。这些机会十分宝贵,过程中教师们互相合作、分享,并就应机课程和耀中价值观进行审视。 检视课程以至给它赋予新意义是一个持续不断的任务。浦东校区幼儿部领导团队热切邀请大家参加这个工作坊,了解我们在推行耀中12个价值观时所采用的一些合作教学法。
本工作坊将重点介绍我们如何把耀中价值观融入至教学中,并辅以各级的例子作具体说明;同时也阐明我们如何根据耀中的课程指引来设计教学,从而提升我们的专业水平和学习共同体的成效,为达致我们的共同愿景而努力。
